For the meat mixture:

  • 25g bulgur wheat (optional)
  • 500g lamb mince
  • 1tsp ground cumin
  • 1tsp ground coriander
  • 1tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • 3tsp mango chutney
  • Olive oil

For the Tzatziki:

  • 5cm cucumber, grated
  • 200g Greek yogurt
  • 2tbsp chopped mint

For serving:

  • Small burger buns
  • Red onion
  • Cucumber slices

Mix the bulgur wheat, lamb mince, cumin, coriander, smoked paprika, garlic and mango chutney in a large mixing bowl. Once then mixture has come together, transfer to a large board and separate into six to eight patties – depending on the size of your buns.

Heat a large griddle pan over a medium heat, add a drizzle of olive oil and then add your burgers. Fry for around 5 minutes on each side or until cooked right through.

Meanwhile, create your tzatziki mixture by combining the cucumber, Greek yogurt and mint and put it to one side. Slice your burger buns in half and slice some fresh cucumber and red onion for serving.

To serve the sliders, add a teaspoon of tzatziki to the bottom bun, followed by the onion and cucumber, the burger, another spoonful of tzatziki and, finally, the top bun. Stab a toothpick or stick through the top to hold everything together.

Enjoy with a cool glass of 3-6 month St. Stefanus Blonde.
